Aaron Maybin is a Baltimore-born artist, activist, and community organizer. After being selected 11th overall in the 2009 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills, he played five seasons in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and Cincinnati Bengals. In 2014, Aaron transitioned from professional football to pursue a career as a full-time artist and advocate.
His artwork, photography, and writing often focus on themes of racial and economic justice and have been exhibited in galleries and museums internationally. Aaron is the founder of Project Mayhem, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting at-risk youth through arts education and community engagement. He is also the author of Art Activism, a book exploring the intersection of art and social change.
Beyond his artistic work, Aaron continues to be an active voice in advocating for public policy that supports arts education and economic opportunities in underserved communities. He serves on various civic boards and remains deeply committed to empowering the next generation of leaders in Baltimore.
